~"In the end, it's not the years in your life that count,
It's the life in your years." ~
ABRAHAM LINCOLN
That quote fits my dear friend and neighbor, Judy, to a T
She was busy all the time.
almost to the end... she would tell me her schedule, and I couldn't believe how she could keep going! She was cooking & baking and meeting people... She didn't slow down! There was always "life in her years"
She was so happy when any of her kids called or came over... she always gave me a report... she loved you all so very much... And you each clearly were crazy about her... You took very good care of her and she noticed the attention and loved it. She adored the grandkids and she was so happy when she was able to hold the newest member of her beloved family ,little Ivy! I can't get around much anymore, so I wasn't able to go see her at hospice. I am sad about that, however I called often. She told me she had many visitors and Ivy was one of them. That made her happy! I was able to tell her I loved her and I missed her.
I walk past Judy's door every day and I miss her so much. I checked on her several times a week and we were friends for 15 years. She was one in a million million. I am grateful to have been blessed with her friendship.
