Passed peacefully on April 23, 2024 at the age of 99. Longtime companion of the late Emil Reitzenstein. She is survived by Emil’s children; Ingrid (Bob) Shilts, Eleonore (Jack) Kamoske, and Heidemarie (Marc) Reitzenstein and their families.

Anneliese was born in Berlin, Germany to Walter and Elfriede Meissner.  It was a happy and music-filled childhood and Anneliese became a gifted soprano soloist.  As part of her education, she learned English and secretarial skills, which became her lifelong career. After surviving Hitler and World War II, the family emigrated to Milwaukee in 1952. Anneliese had a successful 25-year career at Schlitz Brewing and then met Emil Reitzenstein.  Theirs was a happy and loving relationship, lasting more than 25 years.  Anneliese was an avid and excellent sheepshead player, and always had a story or joke to share.  Her laughter and constant smile will be missed by our family and her many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday May 4, 2024 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, W156 N8131 Pilgrim Rd. in Menomonee Falls, from 2pm until time of Memorial Service at 2:30pm.
