Russell Tuveson
June 2, 1926 - April 21, 2014
        

Russell Tuveson, age 87, long time resident of Elm Grove and Wauwatosa, Wisconsin died April 21 at Luther Manor.  He was born in 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Ruben and Ethel Tuveson.

Having graduated from Calumet High school in 1944, Russ joined the air force where he served as a crew chief of a B17, flying missions in North Africa and then Europe.  Returning home, Russ continued his education earning an engineering degree from Roosevelt University, but it was always his passion to play golf. 

Russ served as Assistant Professional at Milwaukee Country Club, then as Head Professional at Janesville Country Club before moving to Wauwatosa in 1963 to become Blue Mound Golf and Country Club’s head professional. 

Russ served and taught at Blue Mound for 32 years.  The only love greater than golf for Russ was his wife of 56 years, Marjorie. Together they raised a son, Bret Tuveson of Menomonee Falls, and three daughters - Kay Lambeau of Wauwatosa, Julie (John) Ische of Cedarburg, and Sara (Jon) Cerny of Brookfield. In addition to his wife and children, Russ is survived by his brother Gordon (Marcella) Tuveson of Lancaster, KY, his grandchildren, Megan, Krista and Halle Lambeau, Emily, John Russell (Jack) and Luke Ische, and Jon (JJ) and Brooke Cerny, and many well loved nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2014 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 12012 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa from 3-5PM with a memorial service immediately following.  Memorials to The Evans Scholar Foundation or to Mt. Zion appreciated.
