Norman "Boots" Luedke
December 2, 1930 - July 23, 2014
        

Luedke, Norman “Boots”Passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving wife and family on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the age of 83 years. 

Norman was born on December 2, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended Washington High School. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the “Frozen Chosin” division, honorably receiving the Purple Heart as a result of injuries suffered during the Korean War. Norman joined the Milwaukee Fire Department and served 37 years, rising to the rank of Battalion Chief before retiring. 

Norman is survived by his loving wife Anne, his children Terry (Mike) Ferrise, Chris (Nancy), Peggy (John) Milewski and Peter (Toni). Also survived by his stepchildren, Jim (Barb) Connor, Lynn (Wyndee) Connor, and Kim (Nick) Sardo. “Grandpa Boots” will be fondly remembered by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  

Norman was a member of the Marine Corps League, The American Legion Post #426, VFW Post #1216, Disabled American Veterans, Chapter #27 and the Moose Lodge of Saukville. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staffs of Kathy Hospice and Dr. John Burfeind for their kind and compassionate care of Norman. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27 from 1PM until time of Memorial Service at 3PM at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK-CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES; 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Norman’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
