(nee Kohl) Entered into Eternal Life on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the age of 81 years. Beloved wife of the late John Platzer. Loving mother of John (Christine), Albert (Denise), the late Margaret and the late Waltraud “Trudi” Platzer. Proud oma of Sarah, John, Alissa and Peter Platzer. Further survived by other loving relatives and friends here and in Austria.

The family will receive friends at OUR LADY OF GOOD HOPE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7152 N. 41 St. (41st and Good Hope Rd.) in Milwaukee on Tuesday, July 29 from 4:00 PM until 5:45 PM with the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 6:00 PM. Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials in Jo’s name may be directed to Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice, 1155 N. Honey Creek Pkwy, Wauwatosa, WI 53213.

Jo and her husband John emigrated from Austria in 1956. She was the founder and long time owner of Jo’s Café on Silver Spring.
