As fellow campers in Eden, we were just getting to know Dave and Beth. Of course, knowing Don and Betty we've heard about all their children. We were stunned to hear about his sudden passing.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My deepest condolences to Beth, Susan, Andrew, Mr. and Mrs. Don Boeck and the entire Boeck family. Though I have not seen Dave in a long, long time, I did have the great honor of knowing him back in the 70's and 80's through my brother, Carl, and Dave's brothers, Dan and Dale. I was also very fortunate to be invited to Dave and Beth's wedding, a day when Dave was the happiest that I had ever seen him. My memories of Dave were always of times of fun and laughter, whether it was him letting a bunch of teenage boys pile into his red, Volkswagon Beetle or his metallic green Chevelle SS and driving them to a grade school basketball game, or watching him playing the keyboard and being part of Popcorn, a band that entertained many people for many years. To my knowledge, Dave was also one of the original developers/perpetrators of the "bowling ball and chain" routine that took place at many of the weddings of friends and family and always brought laughter to guests. I saw Dave's kindness and desire to give back, through his commitment to the church (MPH) and to the Boy Scouts. Dave was a guy who would always make time to help someone out. But none of this was surprising because that was how he was raised by his wonderful parents. Dave's smile was infectious, his laugh was jovial and his two-handed set shot was average at best during pick up basketball games in the Boeck backyard,(as his brothers could attest to) but he was always there to join in and participate. Dave's not with us anymore but we know he's in Heaven, where he belongs. Fortunately, we have our memories of happy times with him. I'm very sorry that I cannot attend the visitation or service, as my family and I are leaving on a flight today for a family member's wedding in Kansas City. Again, I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to Beth, Susan, Andrew, Mr. and Mrs. Boeck and the entire Boeck family. May God give you strength and understanding during your time of adjustment. Sincerely, Jeff Schenk

Beth, Don, Betty, and the entire Boeck family: My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this trying time. Our families have always been very close, so I feel that I have lost a family member as well with Dave's passing! We all had so much fun together when we were younger whenever we would come and visit. I love and miss you all, and pray that God blesses you all and gives you the strength you need to help you through this. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon him.

My deepest sympathy to the Boeck family. May God bless you and help you through this most difficult time!
I think back fondly to the days of the band practices in Rogers basement, the gigs and the parties. The friendship we all shared for many many years! I regret that we didn't stay in touch. Dave was a great friend and wonderful human being!
