John D. Nalepinski

Nalepinski, John Donald

58 years old, of Mukwonago, WI passed peacefully to Eternal Life on Saturday, October 25th 2014 with his family at his side.

John was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 19th 1956, the son of Donald and Lorraine (Szopinski) Nalepinski.  He graduated from Milwaukee Boys Technology and Trade School, Class of 1974.

John married Kim Barber in 1976. He was the loving and proud father to Daniel John (Colleen) Nalepinski and Angela Marcia (Eric) Hewitt, and loving Grandpa John to Viola Nalepinski and Brielle and Alden Hewitt.

He worked as a machinist at Briggs and Stratton for many years.  John was a proud member of United Steelworkers Local 232, and was elected vice-president by his peers.  He held the position of grievance representative for the West Allis plant and continued as an avid union supporter during his retirement. John deeply enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to and playing music (drums), and watching movies.  John had a special way of connecting with people and touching lives. He was a profound believer of speaking his beliefs including his faith and the importance of love.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kim Nalepinski, children and grandchildren, Daniel, Colleen, and Viola Nalepinski, Angela, Eric, Brielle and Alden Hewitt. He is survived by his father Donald Nalepinski, three sisters Pam (Greg) Kling, Dawn (Karl) Brien, and Judy (Dave) Whisenant, by his father-in-law Hank (Sandy) Barber, his wife’s brother and two sisters Jeff (Marge) Barber, Michele Barber, and Cindy (Mike) Erato, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  He was predeceased by his loving mother, Lorraine Nalepinski and mother-in-law Marcia Barber.

A family visitation will be held at St. James Catholic Church, in Mukwonago on Saturday, November 1st at 10:00 am with a memorial mass to follow at 11:00 am.

Although John’s departure from this life was premature; he will be deeply missed, and remembered fondly by all who knew him. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the two organizations John kept close to his heart, the Wisconsin Human Society and Disabled American Veterans.
