Went home to the Lord on Sun., June 28, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Loving husband and sweetheart of the late Jean for almost 67 years. Beloved father of David (Dee), William, Donna, Bonnie (Brad) Meyer, and Dianne (Tim) Burg. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Carol (Donald) Sedgwick, Charles (Pat), Calvin (Joyce), Allan (Carol) Walters, Tom Wenzel and Tom Schleif. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by 3 brothers and sisters-in-law.

Melvin was a lifelong resident of Lannon/Menomonee Falls and worked for Wisconsin Electric for 37 years. 

Visitation on Wednesday, July 1 from 10AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon at ST. JOHN’S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH; 20813 Forest View Dr., Lannon. Procession to Sunnyside Cemetery will take place immdiately after the service. A heartfelt thank you to the nurses and caregivers at Kathy Hospice. Also a special thank you to Melvin’s daughter Dianne for taking care of Dad. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Melvin’s name to the church or Kathy Hospice greatly appreciated.
