Helen Homan
December 26, 1923 - November 27, 2015

Helen D. Homan passed away peacefully on November 27, 2015, at the age of 91.  Helen was born in Hanover, NH.  She grew up in White River Jct., VT, and was her high school class valedictorian.  She graduated from Concord Business College, and met her husband Benjamin Homan while he was serving in the navy.  They moved to the Midwest and raised five children in Wauwatosa, WI.  They were married 54 years.  Helen was a convert to the Catholic faith.  Her love and dedication to family and friends will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her children:  Mary Homan (New York, NY), Margaret Plasencia (Jorge , Brookfield, WI), Barbara Kolner (Stuart, Ames, IA), Elizabeth Zagar (Joseph, Muskegon, MI), James Homan (Mary Beth, Brookfield, WI), and her "adopted" daughter Carla Winkelman (James, Menomonee Falls, WI).  She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Helen was a remarkable woman with many talents.  Her fun-loving and quirky sense of humor endeared her to all.  She will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, at St. Agnes Catholic Church (12801 W. Fairmount Ave., Butler) from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Family friend, Fr. Michael Goodavish will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christendom College (for the Benjamin F. Homan Memorial Scholarship fund).
