Constance Conrader
April 13, 1919 - November 26, 2015
        

Constance “Connie” Conrader, 96, passed Nov. 26. She was an Oconomowoc resident for over 66 years. A degreed botanist, she was author and illustrator of numerous magazine articles covering environmental, botanical, and zoological subjects. Much of her work appeared in the Wisconsin magazine. A versatile writer, she authored a children's novel, Blue Wampum, about Native American life before turning attention to co-authoring, with her beloved husband Jay (deceased), a naturalist field guide titled The Northwoods Wildlife Region and later a beautifully illustrated book of inspiration about the Bahai faith; Tokens From The Writings of Baha'u'llah. She was a long-time librarian at the Oconomowoc public library.   

A private burial service will be held at La Belle Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of Memorial Service and Celebration at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Funeral Home.
