Thomas P. "Tom" Donahue
October 27, 1933 - April 22, 2016

Our most loving, gentle, and faith filled husband, buddy and friend. Born October 27, 1933, passed into Eternal Life on April 22, 2016 at the age of 82. Together with his wife of 52 years, the late Patricia M. (nee Morgan), raised four grateful children, the late Colleen (Dan) Smith, Kathleen (Mike) Schmainda, Tom Donahue and Sharon (Bob) Hudy. He is also survived by six beautiful grandchildren, Mark, Gregory, Meghan, Bridget, Matthew, and Olivia, his dear brother, David (Kathy) Donahue; daughter-in-law, Tammy Donahue, and many cherished family and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Donahue, wife, Patricia and daughter Colleen.

He attended Holy Redeemer, St. Lawrence, Holy Ghost, and St. Agnes Catholic Grade Schools and attended Pius XI High School. In 1950, after the tragic death of his father, Tom left school to work for his mother. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1955. Upon completion of his tour of duty in 1957, he returned to work with his family’s trucking company.

On October 21, 1961 Tom married the love of his life and center of his world, Pat. They resided in Butler, WI for many years and were active members of St. Agnes Catholic Parish. Later they moved to Wauwatosa and became involved members of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. Tom and Pat started Tom Donahue Trucking Co. in 1972 and operated it until retirement in the mid 1990’s. Tom and Pat treasured their Irish heritage and together they enjoyed frequenting the many restaurants along Bluemound Rd., especially on St. Patrick’s Day.  They also liked the occasional sound of slot machines at the casinos. Loving to drive the two of them visited many Catholic Shrines during their travels.  Tom and Pat cherished their many friends, adored their children and grandchildren, but most of all, they shared a deep faith in God and love for each other.

Tom’s family wishes a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at St. Camillus.

Visitation will take place on Thurs, May 5, from 12 PM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM at ST JUDE THE APOSTLE PARISH, 734 Glenview Ave., Wauwatosa. Private Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
