Of Madison and Milwaukee. Saturday, May 21, 2016. Age 21. Beloved son of Hugh, Jr. “Jay” and SaraLee (nee Mutterer). Dear brother of Sylvia. Loved grandson of Dr. Marcia (the late Charles) Mentkowski and Mary Lee (the late Hugh, Sr.) Allison. Fond nephew of the late Tim (the late Sue) Mentkowski, Jim (Anne) Mentkowski, Tom (Sheila) Mentkowski, Laura (the late Ed) Leddy, Sara (Dave) Phelps and Tim Allison. Further survived by cousins, other relatives, classmates and many, many friends.
Beau was born on December 14, 1994 in Milwaukee. He was a 2013 graduate of Wauwatosa East High School and was about to enter his senior year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Beau was confident, courageous, talented, smart and communicative. He touched thousands of lives by his articulate and persuasive charisma. He was outwardly outgoing and humorous, but inwardly loving, caring, insightful, sophisticated and mature. A world traveler, he recently negotiated Europe, the East Coast, and the back roads of Minnesota completely on his own.
Beau had the ability to light up any room and radiated that light with his charisma, charm and humor. His positive energy was spread to everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. Beau shared his heart with all, making friends with young and old wherever he went.
An accomplished musician, actor, writer, speaker and member of SAE Fraternity, he loved his family, school, his dog and the bright future ahead. Beau was both a gift and truly gifted. We will miss his presence, mourn his passing and celebrate Beau’s legacy for the rest of our lives.
Visitation Friday, June 3 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home. Visitation continues Saturday, June 4 from 11:30am until the time of Service at 1:00pm at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH OF WAUWATOSA, 1511 Church St., Wauwatosa 53213. Private interment Wauwatosa Cemetery, Wauwatosa. A celebration of his life to follow the service at the Wisconsin Country Club, 6200 West Good Hope Rd., Milwaukee 53233.
