Susie grew up on Milwaukee’s East side and graduated from Downer Seminary in 1948. She earned her undergraduate degree from Smith College in 1952. Susie met the love of her life, John, at a debutante party at Pine Lake and that was that – they married in 1952 and were inseparable until he passed away on Christmas Day 2012.

Throughout her married life, Susie supported John in his business career at the First Wisconsin National Bank and his tenure as the longest serving Board Member of the Green Bay Packers. After his retirement, Susie and John relocated back to Carefree, Arizona, were they spent many happy years and made many close friends. Susie and John then relocated back to Milwaukee to spend more time with their growing family.

Other than John, the one constant in her life was her deep love and affection for the Northwoods of Wisconsin. John and Susie spent many summers on Crab Lake in Presque Isle, Wisconsin. She cherished the many gifts of Mother Nature and was an avid canoer and golfer. Susie was a true lady, a wonderful friend, a loving mother and grandmother and a devoted, adoring and loyal wife. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family extends special thanks and gratitude to the personnel at NewCastle Place, Debbie Sagert, her friend and caregiver, and Dr. Daniel Jablonski, Susie’s longtime physician who guided her through many medical challenges in later years.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Fox Point Lutheran Church, 7510 North Santa Monica Blvd., Fox Point, WI. Burial will be private.
