My deepest sympathy to all of you--Eileen's family and friends. I'm so sorry for the huge loss she leaves here but know she will keep your spirits full because that's just how she was.

Although I did not know you personally, I was blessed to have known and worked with two of your dear children. Paul showed me kindness and mercy as a new journalist, and Mary guided me in my second newsroom, and is still a kind and caring friend to me today. Because of them, I was able to witness you. I see your passion, your grace, your strength, your generosity, your dedication, your intelligence—all through them, and I am forever grateful.
