Dan L. Natchek
June 9, 1950 - July 17, 2021
I am so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. We worked together at Oracle long long ago, and I always remember him as such a great instructor and always willing to help others. His Oracle Press book on Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management was excellent and I always used to recommend it to my students, so he'll live on in the minds of many in book form. Condolences to his friends and family. Losing a family member is a terrible thing. Feel No Guilt for I'm sure he knew he was loved.

My heartfelt sympathies to you, Sally, and your family. When I lost my husband Don a year and a half ago, Dan came to the wake to express his condolences. Don just loved working with Dan at Oracle and always spoke very highly of him. May God bless and keep you during this difficult time.

We knew Dan during his years at Boston College and he always had a bright smile on his face. He happily consented to be the official photographer at our wedding and his gentle ways brought out the best in our family photos. Rest in Peace, Dan.

When I think of Dan two things come to mind: high school, and my dear wife, Margy. Dan and I were classmates at Marquette High, where our interests overlapped significantly. Looking at our senior yearbook, I see we both were in activities related to school theatre, newspaper, film, religion, and scholastics. Overall a portrait of nerds embarking on a good life with diverse interests. Dan brought humor to all these endeavors, making work light. He signed my junior yearbook, the last year with numerous signatures, upside down on page 3 thus: "After those first two pages, anything I write on the third is sort of a letdown. Dan Natchek -say hello to Margy." Ever droll, ever tied to Margy.
Dan's sister Mary was Margy's best friend in high school. I met Margy because I bummed a ride home from a school basketball game with Dan's Dad. Margy was spending the night at Mary's house, and was in the car. Margy noticed me, and had Mary have Dan ask if Margy and I could meet up at an upcoming school dance, which we did and the rest is history.
After high school Dan and I went our separate ways, but Mary and Phil remained in Margy and my life, YVBFAs as Mary likes to say. We saw Dan again a few times in more recent years at Ziesemer gatherings at The Beacons. Dan was still the affable well-rounded character I remember from high school, and his presence in my life, even from afar, will be missed.
Unfortunately, Margy herself left this earth this past March, and I trust that she and Dan are together again, waiting for the day we are all reunited, and doing what they can to bring peace to those left behind. They are those type of souls.

I knew Dan through his three daughters at Brookfied East High School where I was fortunate enough to have them in class and/or other school activities. Such nice kids -- he had to be a very good father. He was a doting Grandpa, too. My condolences to his family, his extended family, and to his many friends that will miss him.

This is sad news! I worked with Dan at Oracle and looked up to him for his knowledge, experience, wisdom, and good heart. He left me a better person personally and professionally for having known him. I wish you all of the strength you need in this difficult time.
