My thoughts are with your family. I worked with Attorney Schmaus while he was in his role as a GAL. Gary was a true advocate for the children he represented in through challenging times. Happy to have gotten to know him and I wish him peace in the afterlife. Thank you for everything you did Gary.

I will not be able to attend Gary's visitation but want to extend my sincere sympathy to his family. I had some mutual cases with Gary and found him to be a pleasure to work with. He was always smiling and a "fixture" at the courthouse! He was a respected colleague who will be sorely missed. I'm so sorry for your loss.
