My condolences go out to Lois and the immediate family in the passing of Richard We all lost someone very special to us and he is our guardian angel watching over us. He touched so many people in so many different ways and made them feel at home when they were around him He will be greatly missed by so many people He was the highlight of the many outings that the family had through out the years He would entertain the family with playing his saxophone at family outings He enjoyed entertaining people. He will be greatly missed by so many Rest in peace (dad) as most of us would call him and will meet up with you again in another life. God bless

Lois and entire Erdmann family, we are so sorry for your loss. Richard was a true man of God. We will remember his dedicated work he did for so many people and his talent! He folded his hands in church when he walked around praying always. We will pray for you all and know he is watching out from above over you all. In peace and love, the Petersen Family

A favorite Richardism was from a time I saw Richard, in his seventies at the time, begin grinding a HUGE willow stump in their backyard. I said to my 14 year old son Jack, let's go help Mr Erdmann. While we were there Jack mentioned he wasn't sure why we were there. Richard stated with a smile "Because we like to work". I recently overheard Jack , now 30. talking with friends when one asked why would you do that? Jack's reply "Because we like to work" Thanks Richard, I will see you again by God's Grace.

To Lois and family
I am so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. I know he is with Jesus. I came to know you as a young Christian woman and Richard and Lois helped me on my faith filled journey. For that I am eternally grateful. Being friends with most of their family over the years has been my biggest blessing in my life. Richard will always hold a special place in my heart.
Until we meet again
