Eugene was a charming Renaissance man who often took part in our Ikebana meetings (especially the lunch part!). Through the years, he learned much about Ikebana flower design, and even though he did not make arrangements himself, he took a great interest in the form and would often make to-the-point comments on structure, history, or language to increase our knowledge. We have, and will, miss him greatly.
