I had the honor of working with Gene at Sartori. He was one of a kind; always thoughtful considerate and very knowledgeable. Gene had vast worldly experience and was always willing to help me understand the science behind the cheesemaking process. I will always remember his gallant efforts to teach me some German before my trip to Germany. My deepest sympathy to Debbie and family. Whenever he spoke of you there was a sparkle in his eye and joy in his heart. May he rest in peace until you meet again.

I worked with Gene at Sartori. I am a "wanna be" hairstylist. Every time I changed my hair color or cut my own hair- Gene would recognize it and comment that he liked it...He was way to kind. And then I'd say..whats with the gash on your forehead...it was always a Farming incident. He was a hoot to work with. He'll be missed- alot
