To Brian’s family - sorry you are going through this. I worked with Brian at BMO CRR for about 12 years (?). I can see why you call him your ROCK. He was to us too. As you know, in our job we sometimes had to share differing views with Business Unit Heads. Brian had a knack for making those constructive conversations and treating everyone with respect.
We collaborated on much and sometimes he kinda kept me sane. Often ending conversations with a laugh to keep it in perspective. He also shared pictures he had taken - of owls and owlets, hawks, eagles, wood ducks. He knew I loved them too and sharing those at work made the job so much better, and lighter. A reminder that there is more to life than the job. He probably found other ways to make a personal connection with others at BMO. But that is the way he connected with me.
I sat in a cubicle next to him and couldn’t help but notice that he would check in with his daughter daily in high school years. A high schooler may have rolled some eyes at that but from an outsider view it was adorable. Oh, and whenever my glasses broke, like a screw came loose on one of the parts, he was the go-to fix it guy!!
I retired a year or so ago but texted Brian now and then. He never complained. He is a good man and I will miss him. I hope his family finds peace when that is possible.

Lisa, it’s with saddened hearts that we write this and pray for God’s peace for you and Courtney. We will hold the many fond memories of our times with you and Brian close to our hearts. The many laughs, Brian’s (sarcastic ;) humor, halloween parties and game nights in our younger years, dinners and boat rides with expensive wine, golf outings, bird hunting, fishing for walleye off Point Comfort with star gazing at night, jet skiing with the dolphins in Marco and chats on the beach with a cocktail, and the infamous trip to Jamaica that never was, and so many more that we will hold close until we unite again.

My deepest condolences to you and your family during this darkest time. Please know that my family is keeping you, Courtney, and your family, and the Poquette family in our thoughts and prayers. I was talking with Sara, not long ago, when we were at a doctor appointment together for Courtney , shortly after she was born. I had one, very important request from Brian. I asked him to promise me that Courtney would ALWAYS be a number one priority in his life. I truly believe he was an honorable man and kept his promise to me. Thank you Brian-from the bottom of my heart.
