Jane was remarkable. She could be underestimated, which was a mistake, because she never missed anything and assessed situations quickly and accurately. She was a great confidant throughout my career at HAWS because she saw and heard things most other missed. A formidable observer, dedicated to what was right and fair, especially as it related to animals. She collected friends of all ages. I was honored to call her a friend. Blessing to all of you and, thank you Jane, for the many years of good counsel.

Jane's loss at the HAWS has been felt since she was no longer able to volunteer to the extent that I occasionally was allowed to visit after she stopped. She had a blunt commentary that was very often, what I was thinking but could not say for various reasons. My prayers are with her and her family. Thank you for sharing her time with us.
