Eddie was a great friend all through High School. We spent many weekend nights cruising the streets when he could get his Dad’s car, looking for someone to beat off the line. It took a special car to beat him, his Dad’s cars were fast!
What I remember best about Eddie, he was always a kind and respectful friend.
With all of his accomplishments, I’m sure his best were as a husband, father, and grandfather.
A good man, and a fine Trojan classmate.

We will certainly miss Edd. Since I’d known him more than 58 years, and Mick at least 62, we’ve seen the many sides of Edd. What fun we had during those years, even though we moved away. I probably went into education because the three of you talked about your classes and experiences all the time, and I had nothing to add. We had many fun trips to Madeline Island! Who can forget using a 33rpm record to patch the kitchen ceiling where the squirrels had eaten through! Then there were our famous “clicker” games we would play from our toe-to-toe pull out couch beds. I have the photos to prove them. We visited you in Florida, and you came to Mexico a couple times, with you and Edd giving golf a try. Our best trip together was the week in Tuscany. I’d love to go back and relive that. We laughed, we ate, we drank, you tried out your Italian, with success, I think. I can almost feel us sitting in the wine cafe in the square in Florence; we all had decided we’d seen more than enough Madonna and Child paintings in museums we toured. So instead of seeing more, we opted for wine in the square. We all remember that more than the paintings. But no memory can top our everlasting image of Edd helping us find the driveway to our beautiful home on the estate. It was after midnight, and we had driven with Tim and Lucia from Pisa and could not find the right place. We had so many texts and phone calls, we all worried that we’d incurred huge charges on our bills. Finally Edd said he’d stand by the driveway with a light. And there he was. Dressed in his shorty pajamas, Edd stood there waving a candle so we could finally find you! That image is burned into my brain. We all talked, laughed, and drank until dawn. What a great trip. Knowing how we will miss Edd, we cannot begin to feel the loss you all are feeling. You have strong faith, strong family, strong friends. We hope these will provide the support and comfort you will need. We loved Edd, and we love you. Kathi and Mick
