My sincere condolences to the family. May happy memories carry you through this sorrowful time. I commend Shirley on her unwavering care, and she is an inspiration to me as I navigate a similar journey of care for my husband with similar illness. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!!

I worked at Sussex Hamilton for 20years. Saw him probably every day. Bottom line is he was always a warm, kind, funny man with a dry sense of humor! A life well lived! RIP

My deepest sympathies to the family. Your loss is my loss as well. Don was my high school geometry teachers. Math and were only casual friends but Don and his humor were unique and helped me sustain interest and I did well. Yeah! I was on the varsity basketball team and didn't play much but Don would come into the locker room after the game and give me a pep talk. That was so cool of him to do.
Years later I began teaching at Hamilton and his constant presence was a settling influence throughout. Very low key unassuming guy that impacted my life from my high school years throughout many of my years teaching at Hamilton. I'm very thankful for Don. Amen.

My deepest sympathies to the family for your loss. Your loss is my loss as well. Don was a very important part of my life at Hamilton high school. He was my geometry teacher and his approach and humor helped me do well even though math and I are only casual friends. I did not play much during our basketball seasons but he would come and check on me and said I did well when I was in there. I thought that was really cool. Years later when I began teaching at Hamilton Don was a constant low key presence. I was fortunate to have him as a teacher and mentor for many years. He was important to me and likely to so many others.

Don was a wonderful uncle. He was always kind and welcoming to me. When I was in 5th or 6th grade, Don gave me a Sussex football jersey. That meant a lot to me. I was very proud of my uncle the teacher. When I decided to teach Don gave me advice that helped to shape my choice. The landscaping work Don designed for the house in Sussex was beautiful and we enjoyed a sitting out there with Don and Shirley on a couple of our visits. We will miss him. Our deapest sympathy on your loss.
