Dale and family: So sad to read about Joan. Didn't we have soooo much fun living on Wabash Ave many years ago. Raising our families and having great memories. Joan was a special and talented woman. Our condolences to your family. Joan and my mother [Charlotte Jaeckel Johnson] were cousins. What a wonderful legacy she leaves behind, all of her handmade treasures, and passing on her skills to others. I hope her memory brings you comfort. She will live on in all those many beautiful things she made, in beautiful things yet to be made by future generations, and, of course, in the hearts of those who loved her. God Bless.
