Ellen was a wonderful friend to my mother and an incredible support during the last days of her life. My sister Cathy and I will never forget Ellen's kindness and compassion.

What a wonderful woman Ellen was. When I saw her for the last time back in April while I was there for the funeral of her sister's husband John, her faith emanated from her. In comforting her sister Janet she asked me several time to read scriptures and pray. She was not only Janet's sister, but like a best friend to her with her selfless love. We all have a shelf life and only God knows when He will call each of home. Her life reminds me of an excerpt from a book by C.S. Lewis called "The Last Battle". She has finished the preface of a great book and "Now at last (she is) beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on for ever: in which every chapter is better than the one before." Truly, she is resting in the arms of Jesus until we meet again someday. I'll miss you, Ellen. I always enjoyed our conversations through the years and I am a better person because of you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, your sister Janet, and her children.

MS. R was such a beautiful woman! So sweet and kind! I have such wonderful memories of her and her family growing up. I loved being at her home. Everything about her was so warm and calming. She was the most sincere and thoughtful person. Rest in Peace Ms. R. You are definitely someone who will stay in my heart forever!

Mark and Alixe -
This is such a wonderful description of Aunt Ellen, beautifully written. I will always remember her kind and peaceful spirit. I have been praying for you all during this terribly difficult time. Please lean on us (family) and those around you now.
Love,
Amy
