Aloysius S. "Al" Koth

Came Home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the age of 99. He is survived by his children David (Sharon) Koth of Willis, TX, Janice Klusken of Oconomowoc, WI, Joyce (Bob) Manor of Maryville, TN, Mary Aski of Columbus, WI, Russell (Ree) Koth of Slinger, WI, and James Koth of Waukesha, WI; his grandchildren Sandra (Daniel) Garza, Angela (Lloyd) Arthur, Monica (Ed) Wolf, Tim Klusken, Katherine (Erik) Piechotta, Krista (Mark) Galbraith, Katrina Dalgren, Chris Schellinger, Andrea (Ryan) Sherman, Alisa (Gareth) Dargiewicz, Amber Knutson, Philip (Julie) Koth, Valerie (Johnny) Lazcano, Stephen (Jessica) Koth, Andrew (Bianca) Koth, Cindy (Brent) Foat, Falon Schmeling, and Emily (Kevin) Bross; his great grandchildren Ricky, Amanda (Kevin), Justin (Tina), David, Brady, MaKayla, Jadeyn, Mathew, Timothy, Milo, Casey, Joslyn, Garrett, Bennett, Ryan, Nolan, Sawyer, Grace, Sadie, Nora, Asa, Brandon, Wyatt, Dane, Seth, Gabe, Sophia, Erik, John, Tequan, Alyssa, Ethan, Hannah, Chelsea, Ethan, Ana, Nora, Marian, and Carson; his great great grandchildren Chevelle, Aislynn, Canaan, Henry, Kylee, and Elijah; and his sister Bonnie Drow. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Helen A. Koth, his infant son Robert S. Koth, his daughter Therese R. Eick, his great grandson Jory Foat, his brothers Floyd, Eugene, and Roy, and his special friend Jessie Ball.

Aloysius was part of the 105th Horse Cavalry with the Wisconsin National Guard, and served in the U.S. Army’s 32nd Division - 126th Field Artillery during WWII in New Guinea. While stationed in Louisiana shortly before being deployed overseas, Al married Helen Adele Orlikowski on October 4, 1941. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 4, 1991 at the old St. Joan of Arc church in Okauchee. She preceded him in death on December 19, 1991. He was employed for 40 years with The Heil Company in Milwaukee as a Tool and Die Maker. He belonged to several organizations including the VFW Post #2260 in Oconomowoc, the Knights of Columbus – Kettle Moraine Council #3562 in Pewaukee, the Holy Name Society, the Mapleton Hook and Shell Club, and was an active member in the Living Waters Ministry in Oconomowoc. He loved horses and gardening, owned his own farm in Concord, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 120 Nashotah Rd, Nashotah, WI. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at St. Joan of Arc Cemetery. Memorials to AngelsGrace Hospice, Shorehaven Health & Rehab Center, or the Disabled American Veterans are appreciated.
