Born July 30, 1928, the oldest of 7 siblings in the Fearing family. She graduated from Richland Center High School in 1946. After graduation she moved to Madison working as a Bank Teller and met and married the love of her life, Marshall “Chick” Jacobs. Together they lived a very full life, raising two children, entertaining, playing golf and bridge, and serving in their church- Bethany United Methodist Church in Wauwatosa. Lucille was an excellent homemaker and an extremely accomplished seamstress, also enjoying gardening and reading. She was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, a Church Youth Fellowship Counselor and a tireless participant in her children's education. Lucille was active in the Wauwatosa Women's Club until her death holding various positions throughout the years including Ticket Chairman for The Annual Jazz Concert. Lucille volunteered as a "Goldwater Girl" during Barry Goldwater's run for President, appearing with the candidate during his state appearances. Lucille cherished her family and loved to spend time with them. Her beloved husband Chick of 68 years passed away just 3 days after her. She is survived by her daughter Patti (Jim) Loftin, son Bill (Cindee) Jacobs, grandchildren; Alison Jacobs, Kyle (Jen) Jacobs, Hayley (Ben) Schuster, Natalie (Jayson) Bell, Scott (Ashley) Loftin, 8 great -grandchildren, sisters Bernice (Tony) Matyas and Virginia Botham, sister-in-law Marlene Fearing and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lastly, we could never forget mentioning her cherished best friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgie and Claude Fearing, mother-in-law Eva Jacobs Lovesee, her siblings Velma (Jim) Kiefer,  Tom Fearing, Lester (Ardith) Fearing, Donald (Nola) Fearing, brothers in-law Frank Blakeslee, Tuck Botham, Lionel (Mary) Jacobs and Bill (Zelda) Harvey.

A joint Funeral Service will be held Friday June 23, 2017 at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 10121 W. North Ave. in Wauwatosa at 10:30 am. Visitation at 9:30 am until time of service.
