Gary A. Canter
December 24, 1975 - June 14, 2018

Gary Alan Canter was born December 24, 1975 in Milwaukee. Son of Gordon and Mary Canter, he attended Washington Elementary School in Wauwatosa, Longfellow, and Wauwatosa East High School, graduating in 1994.

As a child, Gary enjoyed Cub Scouts (especially the campouts and softball), soccer and baseball. In high school, Gary played with the percussion section of the band. The band trips to Florida and Washington D.C. were among his fond memories. He also went on camping expeditions to the Gunflint Trail near the Canadian Border. The chaperones for the trips and his classmates will remember Gary’s many antics and practical jokes both in and out of the classroom.

Gary started his working life at an early age with a Milwaukee Journal route. As he got older, he worked at Highland Serv-U Pharmacy and later worked as a pizza delivery driver. Gary decided to further his education at MATC, preparing for a career in the plumbing industry. He became an apprentice, and completed his education to become a journeyman through the union. He specialized in his chosen trade by taking classes pertaining to medical gas and became qualified to install and inspect medical gas lines. Gary was currently employed by MedGas Solutions in Franklin.

Gary enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He liked to cook or smoke meat on his grill and joyfully entertained on every occasion he could. His passion was gaming with his friends, whether in person or online.

Gary is survived by his parents, two brothers Graig and Keith, and a nephew Kolton, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
