Age 92, passed away on Friday December 14, 2018.  Preceded in death by his wife Rae "Dolly" (Gauger) Poetz.  Survived by his children, Dawn Lenhof (Texas), Thomas (Sue) Milw.,WI, Donna (the late Patrick) Lahr, Butler, WI, Gary, Antigo, WI, Terrie (Scott) Geboy, Muskego, WI.  Proud grandfather of Cynthia, Jeffery, Daniel, Joseph, Benjamin, Matthew, Capri, Gary, Jr., Christopher, Lisa and Kellie. and great grandfather of 12. Dear uncle of William (Beth) Poetz and Jimmy (Beverly) Poetz.  Joe was born in Milwaukee, WI, June 1, 1926.  He served in the Navy during World War II, on the USS South Dakota, and in the Air Force during the Korean War.  Joe was an avid fisherman and hunter.  We would like to thank Laurie from Heartland for the last 3 years , she provided special care for Joe.  All the Visiting Angels comfort care from the Veteran's Administration (VA).  And, the Nurses and Doctors from South Point for the special care they gave our Father.  There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00 pm, at the FUNERAL HOME with a service at 2:00 pm. Memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society, the Boys Club or the Gross-Yaksh V.F.W  Post 6498 appreciated.
