Edwin W. Hannig
November 8, 1924 - February 8, 2019

Edwin Hannig found peace on February 8, 2019 at the age of 94. He was son to Herman Hannig and Lucy Heinberg. He was a devoted husband to Christine Hannig for 67 years. He was father to Richard (and wife Deborah) and Steven Hannig, grandfather to Karen, Jenny, Michael, Jessica and Christopher and blessed to be a great-grandfather. He always like visitors to come over, sit and talk. He loved to share stories about the past including his time served in the United States Navy. He was recognized as a Veteran of Foreign Wars for his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was awarded the American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and European African Middle-Eastern Campaign Medal . He lived a long life and, even in his last years was still able to get around himself which is a great accomplishment. He is now resting in peace with his loving wife, Christine Hannig. May they both live on in our hearts forever.
