Anthony "Tony" Scozzafave
April 2, 1937 - February 17, 2021

Tony Scozzafave found eternal peace February 17, 2021, at the age 83 years.  Tony was born on April 2, 1937 in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Gertrude Scozzafave. After his marriage to Jane Shaheen, the family moved to Wisconsin and lived in Mequon for over 50 years.  Tony worked at Pfister and Vogel Tanning Co. in Milwaukee for over 30 years.  From playing for the Milwaukee Admirals in the 70s, coaching youth teams at SHAW (Southeastern Hockey Association), and finally skating with the Bald Eagles (Ozaukee Ice Center), hockey was his lifelong passion.

When he wasn’t spending time with his family, he loved playing hockey, softball, and watching his kids & grandchildren play hockey and other sports.  Tony will lovingly be remembered for his feisty attitude, long-winded stories, and most of all, for his tender heart.  Tony was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jane, and his son Daniel.  Tony is survived by his children David (Beth), Joanne (Damon), Bill (Leslie), Paul (Rebecca), and Peter (Katherine).  He is further survived by his grandchildren Daniel (Samantha), Lindsey, Samuel, and Emily; his brother Joseph (Barbara); his sisters-in-law Patricia (Michael) Shaheen Gervasio, and Helen Ecton; his nieces Gayle Larsen (Adrian Corall), and Karena (Steve) Lynch; and his nephew Thomas Scozzafave; and many beloved cousins and friends.

A private family service will be held at Lumen Christi Catholic Church in Mequon. Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mequon is assisting the family with arrangements.  A future celebration of Tony’s life will be held at a later date when it is safer for everyone to get together.  In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family appreciates your thoughts, prayers, and memories.
