Thomas L. "Tom" Dueppen
May 6, 1939 - February 24, 2021
        

 

Tom found peace on February 24, 2021 at age 81.  Son of the late James W. Dueppen, Madison, WI and Lettie E. Fisher, Lynn, MO.  Tom grew up in Madison where he attended Edgewood High School and UW-Madison.  He entered the U.S. Army in 1962 as a 2nd Lieutenant and while posted in Germany he moved up the ranks to Captain.  Following his return to the U.S.,Tom became a real estate broker, and self-employed landlord.  Tom was a long time member of St. Mary’s Church, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and the Optimist Club in Menomonee Falls, WI.  Tom was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing and card playing, and visiting friends and family all over the world.  His out-going and affable nature will be greatly missed.  

He is survived by his wife, Joyce B. (nee Jobst) of 59 years; beloved children Debra Dueppen of Germantown, WI, Thomas J. (the late Lisa Bub) of Menomonee Falls, WI, Edward (Kathryn Klas) of Waunakee, WI and Douglas (Bronwyn Legg) of Glenbrook, Australia; and seven grandchildren--Jacob, Joshua, Alexander, Elliott, Jenna, Emilia and Claudia.  Tom was preceded in death by his brother James R. Dueppen and is survived by his sister Betty Jo Dahlman (nee Dueppen). Further survived by other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday July 21 at 5pm AT THE FUNERAL HOME. The family will greet friends Thursday 3:30p. until time of the Service.
