Caroline Anne Apker
May 7, 1938 - June 4, 2021

 Caroline (Carrie) Apker

Went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on June 4 at age 83. Beloved wife of the late David Apker. Precious mother of Jennifer (Christopher) Reese, James A. Poh, and Daniel H. (Nicki) Poh and grandmother to Kara (Kris) Krause, Hailey (Ben) Lau, Christian Reese, Aurora (Dustin) Lybeck and Jessica (Patrick) Beaty. Also survived by sisters Andrea (Robert) Bauman, Christine (David) Regner and other relatives and friends.

Growing up in Green Bay, Carrie was a 1955 graduate of East High School. She attended Boston University for two years and then transferred to the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she graduated with a degree in journalism.

Carrie was a brilliant commercial writer. She specialized in writing highly technical marketing communications vehicles from trade-journal articles to white papers; in fact, a case could be made that she pioneered this discipline, at least in the Milwaukee PR community. She plied her skills on behalf of several Milwaukee-area agencies over the years, but spent most of her career freelancing for clients nationwide, from California and Wisconsin to Florida and Connecticut.

Preceded in death by her parents Herbert S. and Ethel Boehm Foth, and by husband David Apker.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 10 2021 at 2:00 pm at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Service, Sussex, WI (private visitation 1:00pm).
