Suzan "Suzie" Sperb
July 22, 2021

On July 22, Suzie arrived at the gates of heaven and extended her hand to St. Peter announcing, “Hi, my name is Suzie. Happy Thursday.”

Suzie was the gentlest of souls; sweet, kind and pure. Suzie had a life-long love of nonpareils, fish fry, grasshoppers, and swimming.  She had a “photographic ear” with the ability to match musical artists and song title. Her playlist ranged from Perry Como to Billy Ilish. She was a master at making lists, and her final included names of people she thought might pray for her during her short illness.

Suzie was 63. Suzie is preceded in death by her parents Gordon & Anna Sperb, and her brother Scott. She grew up in Janesville and attended the Wisconsin School for the Blind. For the past 20 years, Suzie lived in Menomonee Falls as the “appointed daughter” of her cousin and guardian Karen Cluppert and her husband Darcy.  She has many relatives including her beloved Auntie Patsy and Uncle Leonard Simoneau. Suzie made dozens of friends during her years at the Ranch, the Menomonee Falls Adult Day Center, and the Tri-County YMCA and was particularly fond of her very special friend Dawn.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls from 5-7 PM, followed by a service. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, July 29 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls (N88W17658 Christman Rd.) , followed by a lunch. Instead of flowers, be a special somebody to someone who has nobody – in Suzie’s name.
