Age 66, Nancy was born June 18, 1955 in Kenosha, WI and is survived by her six siblings, Jim (Patti), Barbara (Niles) Yuenkel, Bill (Char), Tom (Gladys), John (Eleanor), Richard (Mary) and her beloved dog and constant companion, Ed.
Further survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Ed and Jane (nee Flammang) Yuenkel.
Nancy was a successful photographer specializing in commercial photography.
Nancy's love affair with photography began in high school when she bought a used Rollei 35 camera and began exploring light and shadow.
By graduation her fate was sealed.
After studying photography in Arizona Nancy returned to the Midwest to complete her education and graduated from MATC.
In 1991, She embarked on a career in commercial photography and opened her own studio in Milwaukee.
She cultivated a diverse network of clients that took her across the country and the Atlantic.
Nancy specialized in food photography, she enjoyed the thrill of capturing beautiful cuisine.
Nancy had many interests, she loved cooking, gardening, knitting, puzzles and her most recent passion, tending her many bonsai trees.
One of her more recent projects was photographing and cataloging the native plants and restoration work at Somers farm and prairie in Somers, Wisconsin.
She also enjoyed spending summers with family at the cottage in northern Wisconsin, spending time around the campfire while enjoying her brother's homemade popcorn, and always ending the day with a swim in the lake. One of her many talents was roping her brothers into completing projects around the cottage.
She will be deeply missed by all her family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home 10121 W. North Ave Wauwatosa, WI 53226 on Friday September 17, 2021 from 4:00 PM until the time of Memorial Service at 6:00PM.
