Of Hartford, WI passed away at the age of 101 years on Friday, September 10th, 2021 in Mequon, WI. Anne is preceded in death by her husband, Karl Brenner. She leaves behind three children, Astrid (Dr. Thomas) Walsh, Annette (Dr. James) Volberding and Victoria (Dr. William) Gerard. She also leaves behind 6 beloved grandchildren, Michael Brenner, Britten Brenner Stenson, Peter Volberding, Lauren Volberding Guice, Benjamin Gerard and Alex Gerard. And she left behind 6 great-grandchildren that were the light of her last years.

Anne was born in Germany in 1919 to her parents Maria and Josef. She emigrated to America with Karl and her two eldest daughters in 1954. They settles in Milwaukee where Victoria was born. The family moved again to their permanent family home in Hartford, WI. 

Anne worked at St. Joseph Hospital in the obstetrics ward. Whether her love of children led her to this role taking care of new mothers and their babies, or whether the job itself nurtured it, Anne was always known to be holding a baby and playing with her grandchildren.
