Thomas L. Paulsen
December 13, 1963 - November 26, 2021

Thomas (Tom) Lee Paulsen, born in Green Bay, WI and a longtime resident of Menomonee Falls and Merton, passed away with his family by his side on November 26th, 2021 at the age of 57.

Tom was survived by Laurie (Basco), his wife of 30 years, as well as his three children Nolan, Brett, and Julia. He was the son of Darrell (Scooter) and Yvonne (Vonnie) Paulsen and brother to Mike Paulsen and Lynette Dankert.

He grew up in Menomonee Falls, where he graduated from Menomonee Falls East high school (class of 1982). There he met and started dating the love of his life, Laurie, at age 16. Tom graduated from UW-Whitewater (class of 1986) with an accounting degree, earned his CPA license, and later attended University of Marquette (class of 1999) where he completed his Masters of Business Administration.

Tom spent most of his career in various finance and accounting positions at companies including Ernst & Whinney, J&L Fiber Services, Mark II Automation, Kelley Company, Dairyland Seed, Wismarq, Odyne, and Hy-Brid Lifts. He was extremely dedicated to helping his employers succeed and found many friendships throughout his years of work.

Outside of work, Tom made lifelong friends through his passions: golf and fishing. He enjoyed golfing as often as he could with his childhood best friends, his sons, and other golf buddies. Tom was most at peace fishing from his boat out on the lake. He found a strong sense of community through his fishing club, Lunkers Unlimited, for which he loved fundraising and taking kids fishing for the Make-a-Wish foundation each year. He also loved everything sports: playing for his high school teams, coaching his sons in baseball and basketball, and going to Packers games with his family.

Tom's visitation and Memorial Mass will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church 313 Circle Dr. Hartland, where he was a member for 30 years. The visitation will be from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Friday, December 17th, followed by a Catholic Mass from 7:00pm - 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Tom's memory to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
