Sussex- (nee Chittero) Marie Modl, age 89 years old, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022 surrounded by her family.  Beloved wife of the late Thomas.  Loving mother of Sharon, Mike (Peg), the late Bob (Kathy), Jim and Joe (Ruth).  Treasured grandmother of Katy, Christy (Drew), Angela, James Jr., Diana (Dan) and Tommy (Melissa).  Great grandmother of Will, Marshall, Marcella, Amelia, Cooper and Micah.  Dear sister-in-law of John.  Marie will be missed by her lifelong friends Mary Ann and Dorothy, other relatives and friends.

Marie is remembered for the constant kindness she showed to family, friends and all she came into contact with. Her parents were from Sicily and she had the Italian grandmother gene for cooking and baking. Nothing was more important to her than getting together with family and friends which always included lots of good food. She was a devout Christian and put into practice her beliefs every day of her life. While family and friends will miss her dearly, she will be remembered with each act of kindness we do for others.

Visitation Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church, W220 N6588 Town Line Road, Menomonee Falls from 9 -11:15AM.  Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM.  Burial to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to cancer research or the charity of donor’s choice.
