Bernadette Mary Gindt

Bernadette Mary Gindt (nee Moser) of the town of Erin entered God’s loving arms June 21, 2022, at the age of 100. Beloved wife of the late Alfred. Loving mother of Dianne (Dave) Sheehan-Lassa, Robert (Colleen) Gindt, Eileen Koeferl (Craig Hatlevig), and Allen (Gloria) Gindt. Proud grandmother of Terri (Walter) Hawkins, Dan (Jill) Sheehan, Brien Gindt, Scott (Carrie) Gindt, Brenda (Weston) Vogds, Kelly (Mike) Hamberger, Jessica (Dave) Eash, and Lauren (Ricky) Gindt. Special grandmother of Scott Lassa and Lisa (Todd) Karcz. Great-grandmother of Megan, Kelly, Kate, Lindsay (Kevin), Cassidy, Tommy, Chris, Logen, Landen, Lucas, Natalie, Cole, Sullivan, Sawyer, Kenny, Autumn, Kenzie, Kendall, Lexi and McKinley. Special great-grandmother of Katelyn, Peter, and Mark. Dear sister of Francis Schneider and sister-in-law of Noel Moser, Fred Peters, and Loretta Hackbarth.

Preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Barbara Moser. Her siblings Joe (Marion), Dorothy, Vince (Annabelle), Rosemary, Alphonse, Johnny, Fred, and brother-in-law Jack Schneider. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Bernadette led her family with tenacity and lived with a strong faith and strong character admired by all who knew her. For twenty-one of her later years, Bernadette lived with her daughter, Dianne, and moved from the helm of her family to its center where she enjoyed many happy days with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Affectionately referred to as “St. Bernadette”, her patience, generosity, and endless love have created a legacy that will endure for many more than her 100 years.

Visitation will be held at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church (North Lake), W314 N7462 State Road 83, North Lake, on Saturday, July 2 nd , 2022, from 10AM-12PM. Mass of Christian burial will begin at noon with a luncheon to follow in the church hall. Private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church and Hartland Terrace, two of the places Bernadette called home.
