Joseph G. Schaugg

Of Mukwonago, was called home to his Lord and Savior on August 6, 2022 at the age of 88.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Irmgard Schaugg (nee Preiss) of 67 years.  Loving dad of William (Elli Kirschnick) Schaugg, Karin (Robert) Fuire, and Susan (Kurt) Wirsching; proud grandpa of Nicholas (Haley) Wirsching, Jacob Wirsching, Erica Wirsching, Elizabeth Fuire, and Stephen (Larissa) Schaugg; great-grandpa of Owen and Myles Schaugg.  Joseph is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Joseph enjoyed watching sports, whether it was his son playing hockey, watching a Red Wings game, or watching his children compete in cycling events around the country.  Joseph also enjoyed watching Bundesliga soccer, and played and coached soccer in Germany and Chicago as a young man.  He was also a AYSO soccer referee while he was living in Michigan.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mukwonago from 4:00 PM until the time of the Prayer Service at 4:30 PM.
