Kathryn Ann Dillaber (Heaton) age 69 of Mukwonago passed away peacefully on January 18, 2023 at AngelsGrace Hospice Center after her courageous battle with cancer, with her sister by her side.

Proceeded in death by her parents Delbert and Adelaide (Krebs) Heaton, brother Timothy Heaton, nephew Little Timmy and niece Becky Heaton.

Best friend and loving wife of 43 years to Terry Dillaber, loving sister to Nancy(Tim) Windorff and Mary Kay(Polly) Klukas and caring sister in law to Larry(Nancy) Dillaber and Pat(John) Schaftary. Loving Aunt to Crystal(Bob) Bucholz, Kevin Heaton, Deanna (Zach)Weibye, Nathan, Bobbi Jo Windorff and many relatives and friends (Carol Neary).

Kathy and Terry married September 8,1979. They were best friends, husband and wife and partners in their life and business. A love that never broke even after working together.

Kathy worked for many years at Woolworth’s in Brookfield until she joined Terry with the business (Dillaber’s Locksmith)

Throughout her life Kathy was very giving of herself, her kindness and compassion touched many lives both professionally and personally.

She loved going up to their cottage in Wautoma to let loose, have a few beers (maybe more than a few), go fishing, float on her raft, gamble and enjoy the sun. At home she loved her gardening, watch hummingbirds and her pool.

Kathy also dedicated a year to taking care of her mom when she could no longer live alone. She was always there for her sister and friends when in need. Kathy will be missed dearly by all.

The family wishes to extend their most sincere appreciation to the nurses, doctors and staff of Mukwonago Hospital and AngelsGrace Hospice for their outstanding dedication, compassion and care of Kathy. We will be forever thankful for all you did for us.

Services will be private.

I can’t tell you how much I will miss you, my life will never be the same without you. I love you with everything I have. Even though I can’t pick up the phone I will never stop talking to you. Thank you for being the best sister anyone could ask for.

    Love you!!!
