Keepman, Erwin W. Jr.
Oconomowoc, 84 years, born to eternal life at home Thursday, June 26, 2008. He was born January 13, 1924 to Erwin Sr. and Florence (nee Swartwout). After growing up in Watertown and graduating from high school in 1943, Erwin joined the Army Air Corps. While stationed in England from 1944 to 1945, Erwin flew 35 missions over Europe as a B-17 bombardier. Recieved The Distinguished Flying Cross for heroic duty over Germany. Shortly after the war, Erwin married Margaret Lord, of Santa Monica, California, in Midland, Texas and spent 63 years until his death. Having retired from the Army Air Corps as a Major, Erwin worked as a sales engineer at Waukesha Engine until he retired after 38 years. Following his retirement, he worked for his son Charles at Evans Logistics. Erwin's wife, Peggy, survives him along with their four sons, Erwin (Susan) Keepman, III of Appleton, Richard (Patricia) Keepman of Oconomowoc, Albert(Susan) Keepman of Lake Havasu, AZ. and Charles (Patricia) Keepman of Oconomowoc. Also surviving are 12 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dr. Jay Keepman and his grandson, Richard J. Keepman, Jr. Memorial Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church ( 28 S. Church St. Oconomowoc). A reception at the church will follow. Final rest will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
