Day, Norman Arthur

Norman Arthur Day, 84, passed away on February 19, 2017. He was born September 2, 1932 on a farm in Highland, WI to Arthur and Esther Day.  He married Ramona Kempthorne on February 6, 1960. Father to Donna (Bill Miller), Barbara, and Joseph (Mary). Grandpa to Benjamin and Joseph Day Boyd, Jackson and Lukas Day. Survived by his brother Bob (Pam) and his sister Ruth Jinkins, brothers-in-law Dion Kempthorne (Jane Ewens) and Gary Kempthorne (Dina).  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Ralph and John, his sister Doris Roberts, sisters-in-law Madge Day and Elinor Sundell, and brothers-in-law Bill Roberts and David Jinkins. Norm served in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence, graduated from UW-Madison with a B.S. in agriculture and education, worked in Quality Control at Miller Brewing Company, and was a longtime member of Christ our Savior Church.  He cherished his time with family and enjoyed trips to Northern Wisconsin for golf, hunting, and our annual stay on Shawano Lake.

Visitation is on Thursday, February 23 at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church (N59 W22476 Silver Spring Dr. Sussex) at 11:30 AM until the service at 2:00 PM. Procession to Sunnyside Cemetery for full military honors and interment to follow.
