John M. Brandt, age 68, of Germantown, WI passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2018. Brother of Robin (Craig) Passow and Wendy Brandt. Uncle of Kendra (Bogi), Kellan, Ashley (Eric), Courtney, Elizabeth and Michael. Preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Ruth Brandt of Oshkosh, WI.

John was born in Sheboygan and graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1966.  He continued his education at UW-Oshkosh, receiving a BS degree in Library Science in 1970.  He later attended the Madison Area Technical College, earning his certification as an Animal Technician in 1980.

John was an active member of Salem ELC.  He enjoyed golfing, playing chess, and listening to classical music.  He was passionate about animals and was a devoted dog owner, participating in the sport of obedience as well as therapy dog work with his two beloved Golden Retrievers, Naomi and Annie.

Visitation will be Friday February 9, 2018 at Salem Ev. Lutheran Church, 6840 N. 107th St. in Milwaukee, from 11am until time of service at 11:45am. Burial to follow at Woodland Kohler Village Cemetery.
