Found peace on July 9, 2018 at the age of 69. Beloved husband for 46 years to Diane. Fantastic father of James and Jeff. Loving brother of David (Ruth) Maitland and Andrew (Suzanne) Barthel. Dear step-son of Blonda Maitland. Dear brother-in-law of Dennis Haley and Christine Haley. Fond uncle of Jen (Joe), David (Karla), Bert, Michael, Rachel (Mike) and Joe. Adoring great uncle of Leah, Zach, Alyssa, Chloe, Eli and Kylie. Special friend of Norm, Ty and Mike.  Jim will be missed by Jameson.

Preceded in death by his mother Ruth (Ed) Barthel and father Reginald Maitland.

Jim proudly served his country for 33 years including a tour in Vietnam.

Visitation Friday, July 13, 2018 at Schmidt & Bartelt in Menomonee Falls from 4:30PM until time of the Funeral Service at 6PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight or the Smile Train.
