Wallace John "Wally" Konrad
May 1, 1926 - June 2, 2019

June 2, 2019 at the age of 93 years. Born in Sheboygan, WI to Joseph and Aurelia (nee Nack) Konrad on May 1, 1926

Beloved husband of Elaine (nee Minnick) for 67 years. Loving father of Joseph (Jeanne) Konrad, Constance (Gregory) Kapp, Janus Konrad, Brenda Erickson, Kelly (Jon) Kassander and Amy (Tony) Boll. Adored grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Further survived by his sister, Judith (Alan) Hoff, sister-in-law Jeanne (Bob) Gipp and brother-in-law Glenn (Jeanne) Minnick.

Wally enlisted in the Navy in April of 1944 and served in the South Pacific on the LCS114 during 1946. He married Elaine Minnick on September 29, 1951. As he returned home to his family who was now living in Pt. Washington, he began his lifelong career in the movie theatre business. He managed theatres across the state of Wisconsin. He came to Milwaukee in 1969, where he managed multiple theatres including Mill Road Theatre-the first triplex theatre in the country. Wally was well respected in the theatre industry, winning the Showman of the Year award on several occasions.

He retired in January of 1989. During his retirement, he and Elaine traveled, spending part of the year in Florida. He had many interests including singing, playing the harmonica along with other instruments and of course movies.

Visitation Friday June 7, 2019 from 1:00PM until time of funeral service at 2:30PM at Wisconsin Memorial Park-Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI 53005. Military Honors to follow.

Wally was a devoted husband and loving father to his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all.
