Passed peacefully away at home on June 16, 2019 at the age of 72.  Beloved wife and best friend of Tom for 40 years.  Loving mother of Michael (Carlin) and Daniel (Kelsey).  Cherished grandma of Ivy, Sienna and Dean.  Dear sister of Gail Bruckner and Joe (Anita) Bruckner.  Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Funeral Home, 10121 W. North Avenue, Wauwatosa  from 12 Noon until the time of Memorial Service at 2 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital appreciated. 

Donna graduated from Oconomowoc High School and soon after moved to Florida to attend secretary school. After graduating she moved to Milwaukee, WI where she worked for a law office. Soon after Donna began her journey in the healthcare field, starting as a medical assistant and eventually becoming a Registered Nurse where she worked for many of the Milwaukee area hospitals. Later she devoted her nursing career working as a paramedic, and in social work, helping the developmentally disabled.  Donna’s passion for helping others was of the utmost importance in her diverse medical career.

Donna married Tom in 1978. With their son Michael, they took a family trip out west to see the sights and landmarks. Along the way they stopped in Las Vegas and made their love official at the Cupid Wedding Chapel. Tom was her lifelong companion and best friend and they cherished each and every day of their 40 plus year marriage.  

Donna loved vacations with her family and her favorites were camping at state parks in Wisconsin-especially in Door County. Other camping trips included Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks and The Alamo. Later in life she found a joy for cruises in the Caribbean with her husband Tom.

Her greatest love of all was visiting family at the annual Bruckner reunion usually held in Hilliard, Ohio. Reconnecting yearly and sharing stories was something she always looked forward to and treasured. Donna’s soft soul, quick wit, and humor was enjoyed by everyone.
