Joanne (nee Wallenberg) Esvang passed away after a short illness on October 15, 2020.  Beloved wife of James for 60 years and loving Mom to Karen and Greg. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Wanda Wallenberg, and her sister Diane Gudmundsen. 

Joanne grew up in Chicago, IL and married her high school sweetheart James, on April 23, 1960.  They started a life together in Park Ridge, IL and had two children.  Due to a work change, they became Wisconsinites in 1977. 

Joanne loved genealogy and found relatives everywhere, including Minnesota and Denmark.  She loved traveling and had been to most of the 50 states, the Bahamas, Canada, Denmark, England, France, and Germany.  She adored cruising with James.

Joanne loved crafts.  She started painting when she was young and turned it into a full-time job for thirty years.  From June until December, she and her family would be at a craft fair, selling her wares. 

She adored gardening, the birds, and the deer in her yard.  And, she loved all of her friends and relatives. 

Per Joanne wishes, no funeral services will be held.
