Margaret Mary Kubisch
February 6, 1928 - February 14, 2021

Age 93, St. Camillus, Milwaukee, WI

She was given the gift of life and now had to give it back.  It was hard but she knew she was a fortunate woman and it was time.  She had had a full life and was joyful about her many blessings which often came from her husband, their 6 beautiful children and families.  She longed to see her future great grandchildren arriving this year but decided to accept what could not be changed.  She is now at peace.

On that upbeat note, she took leave of this world on Sunday, February 14, 2021, leaving behind a loving and loyal husband, Herbert, of 71 years, her 6 children; Rick (Gail) of Mukwonago, WI, Judy (Joe) Yank of Hubertus, WI, Tom (Linda) of Hortonville, WI, David (Meg) of Neenah, WI, John (Barb) of Bloomington, IN, Steve (Kay) of Erin, WI.  She is further survived by 17 grandchildren, Greg (Jenny) Kubisch, Jeff (Joanne) Kubisch, Sr. M. Faustina (Rachel Yank), Gabrielle Yank, Thomas (Maria) Yank, Laura (Ted) Selker, Andy (Kelly) Kubisch, Mara Kubisch, Katie (Stevie) Nickols, Catie (Ryan) Walker, Hannah (TJ) Benak, Jessica (Scott) Brennan, Becky (Eddie) Recznik, Mark (Brittney) Kubisch, Leah (Seth) Lindley, Beth Kubisch, Matt Kubisch, and 26 great grandchildren, Nicholas and Dylan Kubisch, Steven, Margaret Mary (Maggie) and John Kubisch, Walter and baby Yank, Wyatt, Calvin and baby Selker, Adelyn Nickols, Felix and baby Walker, Finnley Benak, Freya and Maeve Brennan, David, Ben, Nadia, Abby and Margaret Recznik, Maddie, Ella and baby Kubisch, baby A and baby B Lindley.

Her new world with Jesus will guarantee laughter and love while those of us left behind will remember how much family gatherings meant to her especially if there was great German food like rouladen, Grossmama’s dumplings, and red cabbage.  Puzzles, crosswords and a great round of the Kubisch Fast Game brought hours of enjoyment along with trips to the Northwoods.  Raising six children was always manageable because she learned self-care early on…get your nap in first.  But none of these things could make her heart sing as much as good old fashioned family time.  And of course, the ultimate smile came from the babies who seemed to be born every month in this family.  Her heart swelled with gratitude every time she heard of a new pregnancy or a recent birth and could not wait to get them in her arms.  Her quick wit and sense of humor will linger as we the family continue to honor her, her strength and her love of Jesus and His Blessed Mother through storytelling for years to come.  Deeply missed.  Deeply cherished.  Heaven is a richer place indeed.
