Brenda Rae Quale
November 6, 1966 - February 18, 2021

Brenda Quale, 54, passed away Feb. 18, 2021, peacefully at her home.

Brenda was born Nov. 6, 1966, in Glendive, Montana, to Dave and Marian Quale. The family later moved to Beach, North Dakota, where Brenda grew up and attended school. She was a 1985 graduate of Beach High School, active in 4H, FFA, choir and band. She served as a state officer for FFA.

Brenda attended North Dakota State University where she was a member of the Gold Star Band and a Farmhouse fraternity little sister. She graduated in 1990 with a degree in mass communications and range conservation.

Right after college, Brenda joined the U.S. Forest Service. Her career of 31 years took her to Watford City and Dickinson, North Dakota; Ely and Carson City, Nevada; Salida, Colorado; Bismarck, North Dakota and Milwaukee. Co-workers shared that Brenda was a highly skilled professional who graciously shared her wealth of knowledge in a kind way.

The Catholic faith was a guiding presence throughout Brenda’s life. In all the communities where she lived, Brenda joined her local parish choir and sang for Mass, holiday celebrations, weddings, and funerals.

Later in life, Brenda joined Toastmasters International. Brenda loved public speaking and Toastmasters gave her the opportunity to hone those skills on a competitive platform. She earned many awards and recognitions while making great friends.

Brenda proudly supported the NDSU Bison. ESPN’s Game Day in Fargo was always a big event. She closely followed the team and its players including those who played professionally.

From her early years in Beach, Brenda was always a compassionate friend who knew what was needed whether those were soft-spoken words or a joyful laugh and big smile. That compassion extended to her pets and there were many from dogs, horses and sheep in Beach to her ferrets and cats that accompanied her in her career moves.

Brenda is survived by her parents, Dave and Marian Quale of Beach, North Dakota; brother Brian and wife Sara of Loveland, Colorado; nephews Bergen and Braden of Loveland; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Some of Brenda’s most anticipated events were the Dufner Family Reunions and Quale family gatherings where they shared much laughter and stories.
